Evelien van Bokhorst

Evelien van Bokhorst has a varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Machine Learning Engineer and as a Machine Learning Intern at LiveEO. From 2018 to present, they have been working as a R&D Engineer Aeroacoustics at the Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum. From 2014 to 2018, they were a PhD researcher at City University London, where they conducted research in experimental aerodynamics and analyzed large amounts of data in MATLAB. Additionally, they were a teaching assistant at City University London, where they taught laboratory classes, MATLAB and mathematics to first year students. From 2009 to present, they have been a tutor for high school students at StudentsPlus Bijlessen.

Evelien van Bokhorst has a diverse educational background. Evelien started their studies in 2007, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Molecular Science and Technology from Delft University of Technology in 2011. Evelien then completed a Transfer Year at the same university in 2012. In 2013, they completed an Internship in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, followed by a Master thesis at the same institution. In 2014, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Solid and Fluid Mechanics from Delft University of Technology. Evelien is currently studying Data Science at AllWomen.

In addition to their formal education, Evelien van Bokhorst has also obtained several certifications. These include a Python 3 Programming certification from Coursera (October 2020), a Deep Learning Specialization from deeplearning.ai (August 2020), a Machine Learning certification from Coursera (May 2020), and an Introductory Certificate in Academic Practice from the Higher Education Academy (May 2015).
