Doug Goodman

Head Of ICT Operations at Liverpool City Council

Doug Goodman has extensive work experience in various IT roles. Doug started their career in the British Army as a Senior Technical Manager, where they worked from 1976 to 2000. After leaving the army, Doug joined Herefordshire Council as a Technical Services Manager from 2000 to 2004. Doug then moved to Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council, where they served as a Senior Consultant from 2004 to 2005 and later as an IT Infrastructure Manager from 2005 to 2008. Doug then joined UK Mail as an IT Infrastructure Manager from 2008 to 2009. In 2011, they joined Liverpool City Council as the Head of ICT Technical Management, and later transitioned into the role of Head of ICT Operations in November 2020.

Doug Goodman received a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics and Computing from The Open University from 1991 to 1997. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1990, they studied at the School of Aeronautical and Electronic Engineering, where they obtained a BTEC HND in Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Doug has obtained several certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice in various ITIL disciplines.
