Nuala Gallagher's work experience includes a variety of roles in the public sector and urban planning. Nuala began their career as a Production Manager for the Egyptian Film Company before transitioning into roles such as an Urban Designer at SLO Architects and a Project Manager at the London Borough of Bexley. Nuala then worked as a Studio Tutor at Columbia University in the City of New York and as a Project Director at Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation. Nuala later became the Head of Regeneration and Senior Area Programme Manager at the London Borough of Newham, where they led a team in delivering a large regeneration scheme. Nuala then served as the Director of City Centre Development at Belfast City Council and the Director of Growth, Investment & Infrastructure/Economy of Place at Bristol City Council. Most recently, they worked as the Director of Planning, Environment & Placemaking at Limerick City and County Council before becoming the Corporate Director City Development Liverpool at Liverpool City Council.
Nuala Gallagher holds a Master's degree in Urban Design from Columbia University. Nuala also has a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Dundee and L'École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Normandie. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Architecture from the University of Dundee. Nuala has also obtained a Diploma in TV Production, Direction & Presentation from the Irish Film School.
