Tony Reeves has extensive work experience in local government and consultancy roles. Tony started their career in 2003 as the Deputy Chief Executive at Wakefield City Council, where they served until 2006. From 2006 to 2014, they worked as the Chief Executive of City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council. In 2014, they joined Deloitte LLP as a Partner in Local Government Advisory, a role they held until 2018. In 2018, they started their own consultancy company, Tony Reeves Consulting Ltd., before being appointed as the Chief Executive of Liverpool City Council later that same year.
Tony Reeves attended Huddersfield University from 1991 to 1994, where they earned an MBA degree. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1988, they studied at Bristol Polytechnic and obtained a BA (Hons) in Housing, specializing in Housing and Urban Studies.
