Charles Hayward

Charles Hayward is the VP of Technical Research at LiveView Technologies. Charles has been with the company since November 2013, and in their current role, they lead software development teams and drives software strategy and development. Charles is also responsible for architecting cloud-based system software, including dynamic plugin loading and unloading, maintaining base classes for Java processes, scheduled execution of system tasks, and robust multi-threaded services. In addition, they design software for IOT devices, such as sensor data reporting and ingestion, power source monitoring, automated external hardware control, and hardware and software watchdog control. Charles manages and mentors software engineers who work in Java, C/C++, and Python and are familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies. Charles also handles hiring and performance reviews for their team.

Before joining LiveView Technologies, Charles Hayward was a Senior Software Engineer at i3 Technologies from March 2008 to February 2010. Charles was also the Owner and an Embedded Software Engineer at Hayward Enterprises from April 2008 to August 2016. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Open Solutions from January 2003 to February 2007. Charles started their career as a Software Engineer at Caveon from February 2007 to February 2008.

Charles Hayward has a background in both business and artificial intelligence. Charles has a degree from the MIT Sloan School of Management in business, and they also have a degree in machine learning from MIT Professional Education.

Charles Hayward reports to Ryan Porter, CEO, President & Co-Founder. They work with Steve Dixon - SVP, Customer Success, Brett Hill - VP, Information Technology, and Celeste Miller - VP, Channel Sales & Strategic Partnerships.
