Roger Barker

Roger Barker has worked in the technology industry since 2003. Roger began their career at Broadcom Europe Ltd as a Senior Marketing Manager, where they had global and regional responsibility for working with the mobile phone market. In 2006, they moved to Nethra Imaging as the Director of Sales & Business Development for Europe. In 2008, they became the Owner Director of RBeee Limited, providing business development, marketing, and sales for emerging technology companies. That same year they also became the V.P. of Business Development at Imsense Ltd, where they developed a revolutionary algorithm for processing image and video signals. In 2009, they co-founded Argon Design Ltd, a privately held independent design house specialising in the development of manycore and parallel processing systems. In 2010, they became the Managing Director of RICAtek Limited, where they developed a reconfigurable instruction cell array. In 2012, they took on the role of Non Executive Board Member at Argon Design Ltd. In 2013, they became the Director of Business Development at Somnium Technologies, where they created a new approach to embedded software development tools. From 2015 to 2021, they held various roles at Arm, including Director, IP Solutions - Immersive Experience Group, Director Product Marketing - Multimedia, and Senior Product Manager. Roger is currently the Head of Business Development at Living Optics.

Roger Barker attended Brentwood School, UK from 1966 to 1977. Roger then went on to Nottingham Trent University, where they obtained an HND in Business Studies from 1977 to 1980.
