Jorn Jacobs

Jorn Jacobs has a diverse work experience in technical sales, application engineering, and corporate relations. Jorn worked as a Technical Sales Manager at LK Metrology, where they provided technical support and training to European distributors, key accounts, and sales/application engineers. Prior to this role, they also worked as an Application Engineer at LK Metrology and Nikon Metrology, where they focused on CMM products and software development. Additionally, they had an internship at SoftKinetic, where they worked in the camera hardware development department. In their earlier years, Jorn held various leadership positions at the Board of European Students of Technology, where they facilitated meetings, coordinated educational events, and established successful partnerships between students, universities, and companies.

Jorn Jacobs completed their secondary education at Stedelijke Humaniora Dilsen from 2003 to 2009, where they obtained a secondary degree with a focus on Science-Mathematics(8h). Jorn then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Physics at UHasselt from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, they participated in a Summer School program at The University of Manchester, focusing on New Product Development. Following this, they completed a preparatory programme at Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2013-2014. Jorn then went on to earn a Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Photonics from Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they completed another Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Photonics at Ghent University from 2014 to 2016.
