Richard Thoma serves as the Supply Chain Planning Director for LKQ Europe since July 2022, overseeing Supply Chain Planning and Purchasing across Central Europe, including Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, Bosnia, and Slovenia. Prior to this role, Richard held the position of Supply Chain Manager at Mapa Spontex Central Europe s.r.o. from January 2017 to June 2022, managing non-food FMCG operations in Czechia, Slovakia, and various export markets. Earlier in Richard's career, significant experience was gained at Mars Czech Republic & Slovakia from 1994 to 2016 as the Logistics and Distribution Manager and S&OP+ lead, focusing on confectionary operations and strategy development. Richard also worked in sales at Nestle S.A. and marketing at Czech Airlines in the early 1990s. Richard holds a degree in Marketing and Foreign Trade from Prague University of Economics and Business, obtained between 1986 and 1991.
