Laurie Voss

Laurie Voss has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Starting in 2000, Laurie worked as a Web Developer at Easyart, where they developed backend tools and redesigned the front-end shopping cart. From 2003 to 2004, Laurie worked as a Developer at Wide Area Communications, building administrative and other front-ends. In 2004, Laurie joined Boltblue International as a Developer, responsible for marketing sites and rebuilding the ordering flow. Laurie then joined Yahoo! in 2005, where they held several developer roles, including Web Developer, Widget Developer, and Developer in the Yahoo! Developer Network team. At Yahoo!, Laurie worked on projects such as the Yahoo Application Platform and the Widget Gallery. In 2010, Laurie co-founded awe.sm and its parent company, Snowball Factory Inc., where they played various roles and maintained an advisory position until the acquisition of awe.sm in 2014. Laurie joined npm, Inc. in 2014 as the CTO and later became the COO, overseeing the growth and development of the engineering team. Laurie's tenure at Netlify started in 2020, where they held positions as Senior Data Analyst, Data Evangelist, and Data Scientist. Laurie'smost recent work experience is at LlamaIndex, where they are currently serving as the VP of Developer Relations starting in 2023.

Laurie Voss earned a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick, where they studied from 2000 to 2003.
