Jorge López Zafra

Jorge López Zafra is a partner and managing director at LLORENTE & CUENCA SL. Jorge has over fifteen years of experience in the public relations and communications industry.

Jorge began their career at LLYC in July 2005, where they served as director of accounts. In this role, they were responsible for the planning and implementation of activities for various clients in projects involving external (corporate, financial, crisis, M&A, issues) and internal communication. Jorge is an expert in M&A operations (such as the Gas Natural takeover of Endesa, the Enel and Acciona takeover of Endesa, the Martinsa takeover of Fadesa, the CVC and Pai takeover of Altadis, the TPG takeover of Iberia, the Parquesol IPO, etc.).

In addition to their administrative and management duties, they were also responsible for supervising the work of account executives and assistants, controlling the quality and cost of services provided by suppliers, etc. Jorge also identified opportunities for new business by analyzing their advantages as additional growth opportunities.

Other accounts they have worked on include: Repsol YPF (coordination of international relations for the group; special project for the Ordinary Shareholders' Meeting), AET (the Spanish tobacco association; institutional communication and press office), KPMG (corporate communication and spokesperson training), and Gas Natural (international coordination of relations for the group; special Public Affairs project).
