Baya Alem has extensive experience in the finance sector, currently serving as a Leveraged & Structured Finance Credit Officer at Lloyds Banking Group since September 2014, where responsibilities include managing a portfolio of Private Group Clients and providing investment and development lending across Scotland and the UK. Previous roles at Lloyds include Real Estate Associate Director, Assistant Business Manager in Global Transaction Banking, and Associate Relationship Manager for Mid Markets and SMEs, demonstrating a strong focus on risk management and client relationship development. Baya also has diverse experience from earlier positions, including a sales role at Baouni Pharmacy and internships at Societe Generale and Nestlé S.A. Baya holds an MA (Hons) in International Business/Trade/Commerce from the University of Edinburgh Business School, alongside a Bachelor of Commerce from Università Bocconi and a Baccalauréat Français from Lycée Francais du Caire.
