Joanna Carver

Joanna Carver has extensive legal experience, serving as General Counsel at Lloyds Banking Group from July 2015 to October 2021, leading Corporate M&A, HR, Competition, Treasury, Commercial Contracts & Payments, Pensions, Property, and Data & Digital. Previously, Joanna held the position of General Counsel for Commercial Banking at Lloyds, participating as a permanent attendee of the Commercial Banking Executive Committee. Prior to this, Joanna worked at Barclays Bank from January 2005 to May 2015, where roles included Global Head of Legal for Barclays Corporate Banking and Regional General Counsel for Russia & Western Europe, among other legal leadership positions. Joanna holds an LLB Hons in European Law from Exeter University and a Diplome du droit francais privé from Université d'Aix en Provence.
