Garry Oakley

Garry Oakley is a seasoned Inspection Engineer Surveyor with over 45 years of experience in the lifting industry. Currently employed at Lloyds British since June 2021, Garry has held multiple roles within the company, previously working as an Inspection Engineer Surveyor from September 2012 to March 2021 and in earlier tenures from 1985 to 1993 and 1995 to 1999. Garry's expertise includes Lifting and Crane regulations (LOLER & PUWER), LEV (BOHS P601), and PSSR (ASME). Prior to current and past positions at Lloyds British, Garry served as a Senior Inspection Technician at IMES International from March 2021 to May 2021. A graduate of Pensnett School and Dudley Technical College, Garry completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship at Round Oak Steel Works in the West Midlands, holding Mechanical Engineering Technicians (MET 1 & 2) certifications.
