Nicola Marlin has an extensive work experience spanning several industries. Nicola started their career as an Analytical Scientist at GlaxoSmithKline in 1999. Nicola then worked at deltaDOT as a Product Development Manager/Commercialization, focusing on driving innovation and growth.

In 2010, they joined Thomson Reuters as a Product Manager, responsible for driving life sciences product innovation and growth. Nicola later became the Director of Product & Strategy - Life Sciences at Thomson Reuters from 2014 to 2016.

Marlin joined Informa in 2016, where they held various roles, including Head of Product Management - Pharma Intelligence and VP of Product Management & Innovation. In these positions, they successfully managed product portfolios, leading teams to drive innovation, growth, and retention in new and existing markets.

From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Chief Product & Technology Officer at Informa, overseeing pharma strategy, product, and technology vision across the portfolio. Nicola also took responsibility for running Primal Pictures business within pharma.

In 2022, Marlin became the Chief Product & Strategy Officer at Citeline, where they partnered with the CEO to drive strategy, growth, and investment in the business. They led the acquisition of Trialscope and Clinerion and achieved double-digit growth across the business.

Marlin's most recent roles include Chief Product Officer at Lloyd's List Intelligence, Board Member at DBounce, and Board Member at Mercury Data Science, all starting in 2023.

Throughout their career, Marlin has demonstrated a strong focus on driving innovation, growth, and strategic leadership in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.

Nicola Marlin received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) 1st Class (Hons) degree in Analytical Chemistry from Loughborough University from 1997 to 2001. Following that, they pursued a PhD in Analytical Chemistry at Imperial College London, attending from 2001 to 2005. Most recently, in 2020 to 2021, Nicola completed the Senior Executive Program at the London Business School.
