Stig Tornell

Stig Tornell has an extensive work experience spanning different companies and roles.

Starting in 2002, they worked as a National Account Manager at Unilever until 2004. Stig then joined Shell, where they first served as a Teamleader in Category Management & Supply Chain before becoming the Cluster Manager for Convenience Retail Nordics.

In 2006, Tornell transitioned to Reitan Convenience, where they took on the role of Purchasing Director until 2011. During this time, they also served on the Board of Directors at Reitan Convenience Denmark.

Tornell then moved to Medstop AB in 2011, where they worked as an Assortment & Marketing Director until 2013. Stig then joined Kronans Apotek as the Director of Commercial & Marketing and later became the CEO until 2017.

From 2016 to 2017, Tornell worked at Oriola-KD Corporation as the Vice President of the Consumer Business Area. Stig also served on the Board of Directors at Apoteksgruppen from 2018 to 2019.

Their next major role was as the CEO of Mekonomen Sverige, where they held the position from 2017 to 2020. Currently, they serve as the Head of Commercial and the CEO at DOZ Apotek, starting from January 2021 and January 2022, respectively.

Stig Tornell has a diverse education history that spans over several years. In 1991, they attended Karlstad University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Following this, in 1997-1998, Stig completed the ICA Management Training Program at ICA Skolan. Moving forward, in 2002-2003, they studied Key Account Management and Det Coachande Ledarskapet at Bellstrom. Stig also participated in the Situationsanpassat Ledarskap program at Utvecklingspoolen in 2007. In 2009, they attended Gällöfsta Ledarutveckling, specializing in Organizational Leadership through the UGL - Utveckling av Grupp och Ledare program. Lastly, in 2010-2011, Stig pursued an Executive Master of Leadership & Management degree in Organizational Leadership & Management at The Swedish Management Group.
