Maarit Niemelä

Maarit Niemelä has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Maarit currently holds the position of Executive Vice President at LM Someco since May 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Someco Oy as the CEO and Lead Content Strategist, where they played an integral role in developing the company's content and social media strategy. Maarit also worked as a Content Strategist and Consultant at Someco Oy. Earlier in their career, Maarit worked at Otavamedia Oy as a Project Manager for customer communications, and at Viestintätoimisto Sanakunta as a Communications Professional. Maarit gained experience in marketing communications and PR as a Marketing Assistant at Port of Turku. Additionally, they worked as a Thesis Worker at Nokia, focusing on change management processes. Maarit started their career as an Assistant at DHL Express Finland Oy.

Maarit Niemelä completed their education from 2002 to 2007 at the Turku School of Economics, where they earned a Master of Science (M. sc.) degree in Management Studies and Marketing. In 2005, they also attended the University of Sheffield Management School for a brief period, focusing on Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Additionally, Maarit Niemelä obtained an Inbound Certification from HubSpot Academy in July 2017.
