Kara Genderson, LCSW-C, C-ASWCM, CLCP has worked in the social work field since 2010. Kara began their career as a Social Worker for Jewish Home Life Care in 2010. Kara then moved to Melabev in 2012, where they continued as a Social Worker. In 2013, they joined Hebrew Home of Greater Washington as a Case Manager/Social Worker. In 2014, they were promoted to Lead Case Manager/Social Worker at Hebrew Home of Great Washington, where they designed and facilitated a support group for caregivers of individuals suffering from dementia, developed comprehensive care plans, and managed three full time case managers. In 2017, they began working for Education & Life Care Planning, Inc. as a Life Care Planner, where they prepared life care plans and determined rehabilitation needs for individuals with catastrophic injuries. Kara also began working for Lifematters as a Care Manager and Lecturer, coordinating care for disabled individuals and providing psycho-social assessments.

Kara Genderson, LCSW-C, C-ASWCM, CLCP has a diverse educational background. Kara obtained their Bachelors in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services from Indiana University between 2004 and 2008. Kara then attended Columbia University School of Social Work to obtain their Masters degree in Geriontology from 2009 to 2011. Finally, they completed the Life Care Planning Certification Program at Capital University Law School in 2017. Additionally, they hold certifications in C-ASWCM, CLCP, Dementia Capable Care, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
