Karim El Bakkouri

Karim El Bakkouri, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in clinical and applied research. Currently serving as General Manager and Founder of SciMed Services & Solutions since August 2020, and as Project Manager at LNS - Laboratoire national de santé since October 2021, Karim has previously held significant roles, including Chairperson of the Research Training & Education Department at King Fahad Medical City and Clinical Research Consultant within the Clinical & Applied Research Department. With a strong foundation in molecular biology, demonstrated as a Research Scientist at Ghent University and VIB, and a dedicated freelance scientific consultant, Karim has contributed to important healthcare initiatives, including the deployment of emergency mobile laboratories during the Ebola outbreak in Guinea. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from Université libre de Bruxelles and a Licence Speciale in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
