George Mavrelos

George Mavrelos has a diverse range of work experience spanning over a decade. George started their career as a Telephone Customer Services representative at Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation in 2008. From there, they worked as a Business Secretary at a law office, where they managed schedules, records, and paperwork, gaining professionalism and customer-facing skills. Following this, they were a Computer Repair Technician, providing on-site repairs for desktops, laptops, and tablets.

In 2014, George joined Astra Medical Hellas Superfoods as a Web Administrator and IT Support, taking responsibility for website functionality, improving SEO, and maintaining the company's network. George then transitioned to TGN Solutions International GmbH, serving as a Lead Software Engineer and Product Manager. In this role, they focused on backend development using PHP and MySQL, mentored a team of graduate developers, and prioritized tasks.

Since joining SG Digital (Division of Scientific Games Corporation) in 2017, George has held several positions. George began as a Software Engineer, working on various technologies and applying coding best practices. Additionally, they took on the Scrum Master role for a front-end team, overseeing daily stand-up meetings, backlog refinement, and obstacle removal to keep the team focused. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Software Engineer at SG Digital.

George Mavrelos started their education in 2000 at the Lyceum of Chalkida, Greece. George graduated from there in 2003 and received a Certificate of graduation. After completing their high school education, George enrolled at the University of Patras in 2003. George pursued a Joint BCS and MSc degree in Computer Engineering and Informatics. George's educational journey at the University of Patras lasted for nine years, concluding in 2012.
