Nezar Gharbia

Nezar Gharbia has an impressive work history, starting in the year 2000 when they co-founded Image2Web Inc. This company focused on automating the web content lifecycle and secured its first round of VC funding under their leadership. Nezar then moved on to Corel Corporation, where they served as the Director of Software Development for the Corel SmartGraphics platform, achieving significant market potential and delivering a $2 million revenue pipeline in just six months.

In 2004, Gharbia joined Integrant Inc. as the Director of Software Development for their offshoring software development office in Jordan. Nezar oversaw the entire software development life cycle for enterprise web applications and data warehouse projects in industries such as finance and pharmaceuticals.

Gharbia's next role was as the Director of Software Development at the Urban Planning and Development Authority, where they worked their way up from heading the application and strategy group to becoming the CTO. Nezar was responsible for running the IT department, managing projects, and implementing IT strategies aligned with business goals.

From 2011 to 2014, Gharbia held the position of Sr. Director of IT, Software Development at CoreLogic. In this role, they led the software development life cycle for a $400M business unit, managed a large budget, and supervised a global staff of 150 employees.

In 2014, Gharbia joined Brink's as the Director of IT Transformation. Nezar led the software development CoE and data warehouse business intelligence team, implemented the company's cloud strategy, and achieved significant cost savings by defining and delivering a new global integration strategy.

Following their time at Brink's, from 2016 to 2020, Gharbia served as the Director/VP of IT at American Achievement Corporation. Nezar rebuilt the Software Engineering Department, successfully launched a new SaaS creative design product line that exceeded revenue forecasts, and expanded the customer base.

Prior to their current role, Gharbia worked at One Technologies as the VP of Technology, overseeing technological advancements and operations. Currently, they serve as the VP of Software Engineering at loanDepot, where they continue to utilize their extensive experience and expertise.

Nezar Gharbia holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Kansas, which was obtained from 1989 to 1991. Prior to that, Nezar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the same institution, completing it from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, Nezar has obtained certifications in various fields, including Cloud Architecture, Generative AI, GPT-4 Foundations, Prompt Engineering, Ken Blanchard on Servant Leadership, and ITIL-Expert V3.
