Bernard Worthy has had a varied career, beginning in 2008 with an internship at Peace Players International as a Research and Design Intern. In 2009, they worked as a Strategic Planning Intern at UniWorld Group, an Event Planning/Media Specialist at Dream Careers Inc., and a Sales Manager in Macy's Executive Management Program. In 2013, they founded Feedstyle, an app for college students to discover campus news, events, and deals in one curated newsfeed, and also worked as a Freelance Graphic and Web Designer. In 2015, they became a Front-End Engineer + Designer at CrossComm and the Founder & CEO of Hackstarter, a crowdfunding and crowdlending platform that helps students raise money for their programming education. In 2017, Bernard Worthy Co-Founded LoanWell, an end-to-end platform for intake, origination, underwriting, closing, servicing, and reporting. As CEO and CTO, they provide lenders with a branded frontend and customizable origination process that enables user account management and gathers applicant information and required documents securely.
Bernard Worthy received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School between 2006 and 2010. In 2015, they also earned a Front-End Engineering Certificate from The Iron Yard Academy.
