Max Countryman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Max currently works as the Senior Director of Engineering at Lob since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Mentor at Plato from September 2020. In 2023, Max will be the Co-Founder of RemoteJobs.org. In 2022, they were an Angel Investor at Kona. From an earlier experience, Max worked as the Head of Platform Engineering at Pathstream from an unspecified date in 2020 to 2021. Before that, they held the same position at Curology from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, Max was a Founding Software Engineer at RankScience in 2016, a Lead Software Engineer at Litl from 2012 to 2017, and the Co-Founder and CTO at Leafgram in 2012. Max Countryman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from The Evergreen State College from 2006 to 2009. During that time, they also studied Cultural Anthropology at the University of Miyazaki from 2007 to 2008. Prior to attending The Evergreen State College, Max studied Anthropology and Japanese at Eastern Washington University from 2004 to 2006.
