George S. Hamam

George S. Hamam, MBA, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. George S. started their career at Nortel in 1995, working in finance until 1997. George S. then moved to IBM Canada in 1998, where they were involved in finance until 2000. Following this, they joined AOL as the Chief Financial Officer for Canada in 2001 and played a significant role in the company's profitability and growth for six years. In 2007, Hamam joined Loblaw Companies Limited as Senior Vice President Finance, overseeing various roles including National Retail Operations and Retail Division. George S. was responsible for managing financial operations, corporate-wide responsibilities, and leading the post-acquisition integration of financial systems. In 2017, George joined Shoppers Drug Mart, where they currently hold the position of Senior Vice President Finance, overseeing divisions related to short and long-term planning, acquisitions, and financial analysis.

In 1995, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Following this, in 1998, they pursued and completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Strategic Management from the same institution. In 2007, George obtained the CPA, CMA qualification from the CPA, CMA Ontario program.
