Steve Fondiller

Chairperson at Local Farms Fund

Steve Fondiller is Chair of the Board of Local Farms Fund. He led the committee that created LFF. His other investments focus on sustainability, fair trade, social justice and similar positive impacts. Integrating impact values into social enterprise DNA and practices are among his special interests.

His secular activism has spanned from divestment from South Africa, to opposition to nuclear power, to support for fair trade. Steve was in the Unitarian Universalist ministry (early supporter of AIDS awareness and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights) and was a librarian. He has been an expert for the Food + Enterprise Summit and Foodstand Spotlight. He is a member of Foodshed Investors NY and has been a member of Slow Money since 2010. He has a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard Divinity School, a Master of Library and Information Science from St. John’s University (NY), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Vassar College. Steve lives in the lower Hudson Valley.
