Alyssa Alfonso

Alyssa Alfonso is a dedicated program officer specializing in economic development lending at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) since March 2021. In this role, Alyssa provides strategic support for training and events aimed at enhancing small business lending, particularly for entrepreneurs of color, and coordinates monthly workshops on the lending process. Prior experience includes serving as an English Teaching Assistant with the Fulbright Program, where Alyssa co-taught 250 students and redesigned curriculum, along with roles in evidence coordination and business development at Second Day, personnel management at Students of Georgetown, Inc., and project management at Harlem Commonwealth Council, Inc. Alyssa holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Georgetown University and has contributed to various organizations in communication and engagement capacities.
