Local Initiatives Support
Lillyanne Alexander serves as Associate General Counsel at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) since December 2007, focusing on negotiating government contracts across various funding sources such as HUD Section 4 and CDBG. Previous roles include Senior Program Officer on the National Housing Team and Chief Legal Officer for the NYC Program, where legal counsel was provided on nonprofit governance and real estate matters. Prior to LISC, Lillyanne held the position of Attorney at the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, where legal strategies for multifamily housing were developed. Lillyanne began a legal career as an Assistant Solicitor at the Office of the City Solicitor for the City of Atlanta. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law.
