Mona Mangat

VP, Safety & Justice at Local Initiatives Support

Mona Mangat is the current Vice President of Safety & Justice at Local Initiatives Support. Mona has held various positions at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) since 2006, including Senior Director, Program Director, and Senior Program Officer. Prior to their work at LISC, Mangat served as an Independent Consultant and Agency Designate for The Research Foundation for SUNY. In this role, they were responsible for regional recruitment and fostering relationships between the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, university coordinator, and child welfare agencies.

Mona Mangat attended the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania, where they earned their Master of Public/Government Administration. Mona also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Policy Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Syracuse University - Maxwell School. In addition, Mona is certified by the Opportunity Finance Network in the Citi Leadership Program for Opportunity Finance and by Global Learning Partners, Inc. in the Dialogue Education Approach. Mona is also pursuing certification from the International Economic Development Council as a Certified Economic Developer.
