Tanya Bekker

Tanya Bekker has over 20 years of work experience in software development and project management. Tanya began their career in 1999 as a Software Developer at Topspeed, where they were involved in the full Systems Development Life Cycle. In 2001, they moved to Grapevine Interactive as a Developer, where they developed various online CRM systems. In 2002, they joined Courts as a Developer and later became Team Leader. From 2005 to 2010, they worked at Utility Warehouse PLC as a Developer/Analyst/Project Manager. Tanya then moved to Ecentric Payment Systems, where they were a Project Manager from 2010 to 2017. From 2017 to 2018, they were a Project Manager at Bytes Universal Systems, where they were responsible for overseeing, driving, and ultimately owning data migration stream of the IFRS project. In 2018, they became Head of Project Management Office & Senior Project Manager at Infovest. In 2019, Infovest was acquired by Confluence, where they were Head of PMO (SA)/Project Manager. Tanya is currently Implementation Manager at Local Measure, a position they have held since 2022.

Tanya Bekker obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika between 2016 and 2022. Prior to this, they attended Voortrekker High School between 1993 and 1997. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including an APMG Agile Foundations and Agile Practitioner from APMG-International in 2015, a Diploma in Computer Science from CTI Education Group in 1998, a PRINCE2 Practitioner from APMG-International in 2015, a PMP from PMI South Africa Chapter (Pty) Ltd in 2014, and a PRINCE2 Foundations from APMG-International.
