Frank Mungeam is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in digital content strategy and innovation in journalism. Currently serving as Chief Innovation Officer at the Local Media Association, Mungeam has played a crucial role in initiatives such as the LMA Covering Climate Collaborative and the LMA Lab for Journalism Funding, facilitating the raising of over $17 million for local newsrooms since 2020. Previous roles include Knight Professor of Practice at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, Vice President at TEGNA managing digital audience engagement and content, and Director of Digital Content at Gannett. Mungeam has also contributed to academia as an adjunct professor and has run a consulting business focused on media training. An early career in broadcasting laid a solid foundation for a versatile career that spans multiple facets of media and communication. Frank Mungeam holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an M.A. from Gonzaga University.
