Before that, they worked at Brown-Forman as a Commercial Finance Manager from May 2011 to June 2013, as a Sales Operations Manager from November 2009 to May 2011, and as a Senior Financial Analyst from July 2007 to November 2009. J. David began their career at Sherwin Williams, where they held roles such as Plant Controller and Accounting Manager from January 2006 to July 2007, Financial Analyst from February 2005 to January 2006, Corporate Auditor from September 2004 to February 2005, and Field Auditor from July 2003 to September 2004.

J. David McQuiston pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Finance from John Carroll University from 1999 to 2003.
