Jamie Macfarlane has extensive experience in various leadership roles in the business and investment sectors. They are the CEO and Founder of Creator Fund, Europe's leading investor in university-based startups. They have also served as a Board Director for Turing Biosystems, Apian, Loci, and baseimmune.
Prior to these roles, Jamie was the Director of Transformation at WPP and a Venture Capital Summer Associate at The Raine Group. They also held the position of Senior Director at Penn Schoen Berland, a subsidiary of WPP. Additionally, Jamie participated in the prestigious WPP Fellowship program, where they had year-long placements at different WPP offices worldwide.
During their time at Mango Marketing, a WPP Fellowship Rotation, Jamie successfully built one of WPP's first advertising agencies in Myanmar. They doubled the size of the business and won a significant advertising pitch for Norwegian telecommunications company Telenor. Jamie also oversaw brand and market launch strategies for major clients including Red Bull, Unilever, Dulux, Carlsberg, and GlaxoSmithKline.
Jamie Macfarlane completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a Double 1st Class degree in History from the University of Oxford from 2006 to 2009.
