Hannah Cheves

Hannah Cheves is currently a Summer Associate at Locke Lord LLP, having begun in May 2024, while also pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at SMU Dedman School of Law since 2023. Hannah has a strong background in leadership and operations, demonstrated through the role of Co-Chair of Operations Force for Mayfest Productions from June 2022 to June 2023, where efforts included logistics planning for Dillo Day, a major student-run music festival, and implementing harm reduction strategies. As Co-Editor in Chief of the Northwestern Undergraduate Law Journal from May 2022 to June 2023, Hannah further developed editorial and legal research skills. Previous experiences include serving as Chapter President of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, Communications Intern at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, Summer Intern in the Office of George W. Bush, and an Internship at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, which involved assisting judicial clerks in opinion writing. Hannah earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University in June 2023 and holds a high school diploma from Albuquerque Academy, graduating in 2019.
