Nicholas Akin

Nicholas Akin is an AI/ML Engineer at Lockheed Martin, with a strong background in Python and Java development, specializing in machine learning. They completed a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence at The University of Georgia, where their thesis focused on the efficacy and ethical implications of mass surveillance systems utilizing convolutional neural networks. Nicholas has held diverse roles, including Computer Science Engineer at the 402d Software Engineering Group, where they developed tools that saved the U.S. Government significant costs, and served as an Area Director and Lead Computer Science Tutor, honing their instructional skills. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science with a focus on Intelligent Systems at The University of Texas at Arlington.
