Brett Deroche

Brett Deroche has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Brett is currently working as the VP of Cybersecurity Services at Lockstep Technology Group since March 2022. Prior to that, from March to December 2022, they held the same position at Transformyx, LLC. From October 2018 to March 2022, they served as the Director of Security Operations at Amedisys. Before that, from August 2016 to October 2018, they worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana as an Advisory Information Security Engineer, where they significantly improved the vulnerability management program. Brett also has a background in the US Navy, where they held various roles including Information Assurance Manager, Information System Security Officer, and System and Network Administrator. In their role in the Navy, they were responsible for ensuring compliance with information security policies and managing system security using various tools and technologies.

Brett Deroche's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology focused in Information Security from Excelsior University, which they obtained between 2013 and 2018. Brett also attended the Naval Postgraduate School from 2013 to 2015, specializing in Network Security.

In 2017, Brett received the GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification from GIAC Certifications, and in 2015 they achieved the ISC2 CISSP certification from (ISC)². Finally, Brett holds the CompTIA Security ce certification from CompTIA, which they obtained in 2011.
