Jp Grom

JP Grom has a strong background in architecture and program management. From 2007 onwards, they worked as the Vice President and Business Group Director at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc., where they managed the Facilities Program Management Group. JP oversaw a diverse portfolio of bond programs for Texas K-12 school districts, with projects ranging from $30 million to over $450 million. JP'sresponsibilities included master planning, budgeting, scheduling, design criteria development, contract procurement, quality assurance, budget monitoring, and construction management.

Prior to that, JP Grom owned their own architectural design firm, JP Grom, AIA Architect, from 2000 to 2020. JP focused on residential design, creating custom home plans as well as performing addition and remodel work. Additionally, they handled commercial design for light commercial applications.

From 2005 to 2007, JP Grom served as an Architect at Texas A&M University, where they acted as the project manager for various campus projects. JP'sresponsibilities included managing the design process, overseeing bid procurement, and administering the construction administration phase.

Before joining Texas A&M University, JP Grom worked as an Architect at BRW Architects, Inc. from 2000 to 2005.

JP Grom has a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree from Texas A&M University, which was earned from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Urban & Regional Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, spanning from 1993 to 1997.

In addition to their degrees, JP Grom has acquired several certifications. In 2013, they became a Registered Architect with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, California Architects Board, and Washington State Department of Licensing. They also hold a certification as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), obtained in March 2021. Some of their other certifications include LEED(R) AP from the United States Green Building Council and NCARB from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

JP Grom is also associated with various architect boards and licensing entities, including the Nevada State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design, Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
