JP Grom has a strong background in architecture and program management. In addition to their degrees, JP Grom has acquired several certifications. In 2013, they became a Registered Architect with the Arizona State Board of Technical Registration, California Architects Board, and Washington State Department of Licensing. They also hold a certification as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), obtained in March 2021. Some of their other certifications include LEED(R) AP from the United States Green Building Council and NCARB from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

JP Grom is also associated with various architect boards and licensing entities, including the Nevada State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design, Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
