Iulia Brateanu

Iulia Brateanu has a strong background in legal and data protection roles. Iulia started their career in 2013 as a Legal Advisor at SC. VIA PROIECT. SRL, where they worked until 2019. In 2014, they also volunteered at KU Leuven for a brief period. Since 2019, Iulia has been working at Lockwood Publishing Ltd, initially as a Data Protection Assistant and later transitioning into a Legal Counsel role. Currently, they hold the position of Head Of Legal at the company.

Iulia Brateanu's education history begins with their A-level degree in Social Sciences from Ion Barbu high school, which they obtained from 2003 to 2007. Iulia then went on to earn their Bachelor's degree in Law from Universitatea din Bucuresti (University of Bucharest) from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, they pursued a Master's degree in European Law and Policy from both Haagse Hogeschool Den Haag and the University of Portsmouth, completing it in 2012. Following that, from 2013 to 2014, Iulia attended Maastricht University, where they obtained a degree in Globalization and Human Rights, specializing in Law.

In addition to their formal education, Iulia Brateanu has obtained two certifications: The PECB Certified Data Protection Officer from PECB in May 2018 and a Certificate for finishing an optional module of Spanish Law, both Private and Public, given in the Spanish Language, from the University of Bucharest in 2009.
