Cuong Vu

Cuong Vu is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in various companies and roles. Starting in 2013, Cuong began their career at VNG as an Associate Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development and maintenance of the TrueCRM platform built on SugarCRM. Following this role, Cuong undertook a Fresher Internship at VNG, which provided him with valuable learning opportunities to develop their technical and interpersonal skills.

In 2014, Cuong joined Tech in Asia as a Ruby on Rails Developer, where they played a crucial role in the development of Techlist.asia, a platform for investors and founders. Cuong'sresponsibilities included automating report computation and chart publishing processes.

Moving on to Mortgage Club in 2015, Cuong worked as a Ruby Developer, focusing on building a user-friendly platform that simplified the home buying process. Cuong implemented test-driven development methodologies and developed robust backends for Facebook bots and Slack bots.

In 2016, Cuong joined Liquid as a Software Engineer, where they developed an Elixir application to provide streamlined financial data to consumer applications. Cuong automated data acquisition and cleaning processes and monitored the system's operation to ensure smooth functionality.

Continuing their career, Cuong became a Senior Software Engineer at Yojee in 2018. Here, they implemented a flexible permission system, designed and deployed a webhook system, and created a comprehensive notification system to improve clients' operations and communication.

Joining TIKI Corporation in 2019, Cuong held the position of Engineering Lead and made significant contributions to the company. Cuong implemented microservices for the Tini Apps' platform, resulting in a substantial increase in yearly revenue and scalability to serve one million users. Furthermore, Cuong spearheaded the development of the Console Analytics tool and designed and launched Tiki newsfeed to enhance user engagement and improve product offerings.

Currently, Cuong is set to join Locofy.ai in 2023 as an Engineering Lead, marking the next step in their successful career.

Cuong Vu attended VNUHCM - University of Science from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Software Engineering. In 2018, they also obtained certifications in Practical Predictive Analytics: Models and Methods from Coursera, Supervised Learning with scikit-learn from DataCamp, Data Manipulation at Scale: Systems and Algorithms from Coursera, and Introduction to R Course from DataCamp.
