Allison Katona

Allison Katona has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2016, they interned at Ford Motor Company as a Product Development Crash Safety Intern. Allison also worked as a Design Thinking Intern at The Panama Tropical Research Institute and as a member of the Translational Biophotonics Laboratory at Tulane University.

In 2017, Allison returned to Ford Motor Company as a Research Engineer in Vehicle Design and Infotronics. During this time, they set up and calibrated wearable motion capture sensor systems and implemented technology for a project focused on elderly customer user experience.

Allison then transitioned to roles in product development at Ford Motor Company. Allison worked as a Design and Release Engineer, focusing on seat belts for the 2020 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator. Allison also served as a Human Factors Engineer, specializing in Lincoln vehicle user interfaces and driver controls. Allison'sresponsibilities included conducting research clinics, utilizing benchmarking data, and ensuring on-time delivery of quality interaction and ergonomics.

In 2019, Allison briefly worked as a Brand Marketing Assistant Manager at Ford Motor Company, where they developed the go-to-market plan for the 2020 Lincoln Corsair.

Most recently, Allison joined Locomation, Inc. in 2022. Allison started as a Human Factors Engineer/User Experience Researcher and was promoted to Senior Human Factors Engineer/User Experience Researcher. Allison'swork primarily involved conducting user interviews, mapping user journeys, and developing ergonomic testing and consumer usability clinics for future autonomous convoy trucks. Allison also presented research and user test findings to expedite the launch strategy for autonomous vehicles.

Allison Katona completed their high school education at Seaholm High School from 2009 to 2013. Allison then pursued their undergraduate studies at Tulane University from 2013 to 2017. At Tulane, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a major in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. Additionally, in 2015, they participated in the Business Real Estate Summer Minor Institute at Tulane University.
