Tommy Tsai

Tommy Tsai is a seasoned entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in the technology and startup sectors. As Co-Founder of Coefficient since June 2019 and Founder & Managing Partner at Locus Ventures since 2016, Tommy has played a pivotal role in shaping innovative business solutions. Prior to these positions, Tommy co-founded Shopular, which was acquired by Rakuten Ebates, and served as the Founding Engineer at Shopkick, developing technology for a cross-retailer rewards program. Tommy also held the position of Director of Engineering at Loopt, contributing significantly to its backend development. Tommy began their career as a Software Engineer during a summer internship at Ning, where the first app on the social app platform was created. Tommy holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and completed a program at Y Combinator in 2012.
