Daniel Cowan has a strong background in executive leadership and corporate strategy. Daniel is currently the President & CEO of Loenbro, a position they have held since May 2020. Prior to this, from July 2017 to April 2018, they served as President & CEO of LineStar Integrity Services. From December 2014 to October 2017, they were the Group Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development at Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services. In addition, they served as the Executive-in-Residence at Florida State University's College of Business from January 2016 to December 2016. Earlier in their career, Daniel held various roles at Aegion Corporation (formerly Insituform Technologies), including Group Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development, Special Assistant to the CEO & Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, and Vice President of the International Group. Daniel was also a Co-Founder, Chairman & CEO of E-Commerce & Trade Services, Ltd. from July 2000 to June 2006, and worked as an International Strategy Consultant at First Union National Bank from May 1999 to June 2000.

Daniel Cowan has an extensive education history. Daniel obtained a Bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies from Davidson College from 1995 to 1999. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business as part of the Cross Continent Program from 2002 to 2004. In 2002, they also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Daniel Cowan later continued their education and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration with a focus on the Executive Research Option at Oklahoma State University from 2013 to 2015.

Before their university education, Daniel Cowan attended Cartersville High School from 1991 to 1995.
