Rasak Balogun has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Rasak started their career in 2003 as an Industrial Attachment at Mantrac Nigeria Ltd, where they were responsible for planning and monitoring maintenance schedules. From 2004 to 2006, they participated in the Shell Intensive Training program, gaining knowledge in installing, maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on various types of equipment.
In 2008, Balogun joined UniCem Nigeria as a Mechanical Engineer, where they focused on equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Rasak also received specialized training in cement plant operations. After a year, they moved to Lafarge, where they worked as a Mechanical Engineer, specializing in the installation and commissioning of cement plants.
In 2012, Balogun joined GZ Industries Ltd as a Maintenance Engineer, responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery and facilities. Rasak also played a role in continuous improvement initiatives.
Since 2014, Balogun has been working at Loesche GmbH, initially as an Installation and Maintenance Engineer, and later as a Senior Installation/Maintenance Engineer in their Technical Field Service division. Their responsibilities include installing and maintaining greenfield plants, training customer personnel, and ensuring quality standards during the installation of machine and plant components.
Throughout their career, Balogun has demonstrated expertise in various areas such as site management, installation supervision, maintenance, and repair of machinery and plant equipment. Rasak is a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and has OSHA certification.
Rasak Balogun has a diverse education history in engineering. Rasak began their academic journey at Ondo State Polytechnic Owo from 2002 to 2004, where they earned a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician. Rasak then pursued further education at The Federal Polytechnic Idah from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained their HND in Mechanical Engineering. Later, Balogun attended the University of Portsmouth from 2013 to 2015, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. These educational experiences in mechanical engineering have laid a solid foundation for their career development.
