Marc A. Alpert

Marc A. Alpert is currently the SVP, General Counsel & Secretary at Loews Corporation. Prior to this, they were a partner at Chadbourne & Parke LLP from January 1986 to December 2016, where they served as Head of the Public Companies Practice Group and was a member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Alpert has extensive transactional experience representing multinational corporations in connection with mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other divestitures, joint ventures, securities offerings and other capital markets and corporate activities. Marc is also a trusted advisor to senior management, in-house legal departments and boards of directors on a wide range of corporate, securities and other legal matters, including public disclosures, SEC filings, corporate governance, board matters, fiduciary duties, takeover defenses, dealing with activist shareholders and executive compensation.

Marc A. Alpert earned a J.D., cum laude, from the University at Buffalo and a B.B.A., cum laude, in Accounting from Hofstra University.
