Abbi Tonges

Abbi Tonges is an experienced Chemical Engineer with a strong background in process engineering and quality assurance within the metals industry. Since July 2016, Abbi has been employed at Logan Aluminum, specializing in the management and enhancement of coolants, lubricants, and hydraulic fluids for cold-rolling aluminum mills. Prior experience includes multiple co-op positions at Nucor Steel Gallatin, where Abbi effectively addressed quality issues, conducted advanced material analyses using Scanning Electron Microscopy, and contributed to the optimization of manufacturing procedures. Additionally, Abbi interned at Corning Incorporated, overseeing manufacturing line activities and implementing process controls while completing Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. Abbi holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
