Michael Nelson

Michael Nelson has worked in the finance industry since 2000. Michael started their career at Hewlett-Packard as an Accounting/Financial Specialist in 2000. Michael then moved to Marshall Field's in 2004 as a Merchant Finance Manager. In 2005, they returned to Hewlett-Packard as a Division Controller and Finance Manager. In 2010, they joined Creative Memories as a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis. In 2013, they began working for Apex International Mfg, Inc. as a Lean Deployment Leader and Manager of Financial Analysis & Planning. In 2015, they joined GO Intellectual Capital as a Fractional CFO. In 2018, they began working for Datica as a Chief Financial Officer, where they guided the organization through a period of significant changes and challenges while positioning it for future growth. This included multiple fundraises, an acquisition tripling the organization size, a revenue downturn exacerbated by COVID and the subsequent divestiture of a product line to fully pay down debt and provide 2 years of cash runway. In 2021, they joined LogicStream Health Inc. as a Chief Financial Officer and Salo as a Finance Consultant.

Michael Nelson received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business between 1998 and 2000.
