Shawn Sills

Shawn Sills has a diverse work experience in the IT industry spanning over several years. Their most recent position is as a Cloud Architect at Logicworks since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Rackspace for a significant period of time, holding various roles such as Azure Cloud Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, and Lead Systems Engineer. In these positions, they were responsible for providing expert guidance and solutions for private and public cloud services, customizing complex configurations, and presenting advanced technical concepts to clients. Shawn also worked as a Cloud Solutions Architect at Rackspace from 2016 to 2022, where they utilized specialized knowledge to design innovative components of overall solutions. Before joining Rackspace, Shawn worked at Towers Watson as a TSC Administrator/Peoplesoft Developer, managing hardware, software, and applications within the TSC lab environment. Shawn additionally supported PeopleSoft HCM projects. Prior to that, they worked at Dow Jones as a Senior Windows Systems Administrator and at McGraw-Hill Construction as a QA Analyst/Helpdesk personnel. In these roles, they performed a range of tasks including system installations, support, troubleshooting, and testing coordination.

Shawn Sills obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from Rutgers University - Camden, where they studied from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, they also earned several certifications in the field of cloud computing. In 2015, they passed the Exam 534 and became certified as an Azure Solutions Architect by Microsoft. Shawn further expanded their expertise by obtaining the AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in 2016. In 2017, Shawn obtained multiple certifications, including Exam 533 (Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions), MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, MCSA: Cloud Platform - Certified 2017, and Exam 473: Design and Implement Cloud Data Platform Solutions. Their most recent certification was the Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, which they achieved in December 2019.
