Tom Gross has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Tom has held various leadership positions in different companies. Tom started their career as an Enterprise Architect at Clarica, where they led a development team in redesigning and implementing an integrated suite of desktop Sales Force Automation tools. Tom then joined Chapters Online as an Interim CTO, where they led a team in successfully launching one of Canada's largest e-commerce sites. At Cyberplex, Tom co-founded the Waterloo Development Centre and served as the Chief Architect, responsible for implementing software development standards and providing technology guidance. Tom co-founded Appercept Inc. during a downturn in the technology professional services industry and led engagements with leading clients in various sectors. As the VP of Research & Development at Covarity Inc., Tom recruited and managed a team that delivered a highly scalable hosted platform for large financial institutions. At Research In Motion (RIM), Tom held the positions of Senior Director and later VP, leading large software development organizations responsible for delivering core applications for Blackberry devices. Most recently, Tom worked at MetaMarketplace as the VP of Engineering, leading a development team in building a cloud-based B2B platform for the hospitality industry. Tom currently serves as the VP of Engineering at LogiSense Corporation. Overall, Tom has consistently delivered successful projects, implemented agile practices, and demonstrated leadership in driving software quality, schedule predictability, and organizational accountability.

Tom Gross attended the University of Waterloo from 1986 to 1991, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Honours Computer Science / Information Systems. Tom graduated with a BMath degree.
