Christ-Shamma Matalbert

Christ-Shamma Matalbert has extensive experience in strategic communications and public affairs. Currently serving as a Strategic Communications Consultant at LMI since February 2025, Christ-Shamma previously worked as a Political Appointee and Congressional Affairs Advisor at the Bureau of Industry and Security within the U.S. Department of Commerce from April 2024 to January 2025. Prior roles include Communications Director for the U.S. House of Representatives from December 2021 to April 2024, where responsibilities included managing newsletters and marketing strategies, as well as serving as Press Secretary, focusing on strategic communications plans. Christ-Shamma also worked as a Communications Specialist at the Chief Administrative Officer and was a Social Justice Columnist and Resident Editor at The Public Purpose from August 2020 to May 2021. In addition, an academic background includes a Master's degree in Justice, Law, and Criminology from the School of Public Affairs at American University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Pre-Law from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
