Anup Akkihal has been the Chief Executive at Logistimo since December 2009. Prior to that, they were a Technical Advisor at JSI from November 2008 to December 2009. There, they worked across all task orders of the USAID | DELIVER PROJECT, providing consulting services to external partners, including WHO, Global Fund, UNFPA and World Bank, on improving supply chains supporting the spectrum of global public health initiatives including Malaria, Influenza, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Essential Medicines, Family Planning & Reproductive Health. Anup also delivered three BBL talks entitled "Demystifying Computer Modeling for Optimization and Simulation of Logistics Systems", "Mobile-Phone-Mediated Inventory Control Systems", and "Novel Technology Applications in Global Health", and conducted the Beer Distribution Game.
Before their time at JSI, Anup Akkihal was a contractor at Au Bon Pain from October 2006 to June 2007, at the United States Army from July 2006 to October 2007, and at SAP from February 2005 to July 2007. Anup also worked as a contractor at Continental AG (Teves) from January 2004 to December 2005.
Anup Akkihal has a Bachelor of Arts in Biophysics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Engineering in Logistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
