Dr. Chidambaram Mandan

Dr. Chidambaram Mandan has extensive work experience in the field of research and development. Dr. Chidambaram is currently the Vice President and Head of R&D, QC, Sampling, PD, and BD - Materials at LOHUM since December 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Hindustan Platinum where they held several positions, including Assistant Vice President and Head of Catalyst R&D, Senior General Manager of R&D, and General Manager of R&D. Before that, they worked at Reliance as a Team Lead and Senior Manager in the field of research, focusing on topics such as Algae to Oil and Heterogeneous Catalysis. Dr. Chidambaram also worked at Indian Oil Corp Limited as a Research Officer, specializing in Light and Heavy Naphtha Isomerization and Residual Hydro Conversion. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Post-doctoral Research Associate at UC Berkeley and a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where their research focused on Phase Transfer Catalysis and Polymer Encapsulated Catalysis.

Dr. Chidambaram Mandan earned a Ph.D. in Heterogeneous Catalysis for Diverse Organic Transformations from CSIR - National Chemical Laboratory from 2001 to 2005. Dr. Chidambaram also obtained a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Madurai Kamaraj University between 1996 and 1998. Prior to that, Dr. Mandan completed their High School education, focusing on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, at Syed Ammal Higher Secondary School in Ramanathapuram, Tamilnadu, from 1990 to 1992.
