João Vasconcelos

João Vasconcelos has a diverse work experience history. João currently works at Loka as a Backend Team Lead, where they manage a team of Backend Engineers and provides guidance and mentorship. Prior to this role, they worked as a Backend Developer at Loka, where they were responsible for architecting, developing, testing, and documenting solutions for Backend requirements. Before joining Loka, João worked as a Junior Backend Developer, also at Loka, where they developed, tested, and documented solutions for project requirements.

In addition to their roles at Loka, João has also held positions at Dellent Consulting and Altice Labs as a Full Stack Developer from 2020 to 2021. João worked as a Bioinformatics Junior Researcher at IEETA - Institute of Electronics and Informatics Engineering of Aveiro from 2020 to 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Forall Phones as a Shaper, where they expanded the brand and organized events for social causes. João also worked at PRATO.APP - Comunicação e Marketing as a Software Developer, assisting in the development of a new user interface for their mobile app.

João Vasconcelos completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a Bachelor in Engineering from the Universidade de Aveiro, where they studied from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Escola Secundária João da Silva Correia from 2011 to 2017, where they obtained their secondary education in the field of Ciências.

In addition to their formal education, João Vasconcelos has acquired additional certifications and participated in various programs and events. João completed the Interviewer program offered by Loka in July 2022 and obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2023. João also participated in the ENEI 2018 (Encontro Nacional de Estudantes de Informática) and served as a Prime College Ambassador for PrimeIT. Furthermore, they volunteered at the Web Summit in 2018.
